Endorsement & Endorsement Registration Information for Candidates


  • All candidates (regardless of incumbency status) wishing to seek CDP endorsement consideration must register and file for endorsement.
  • Eligible voter lists for the CDP Pre-Endorsing Conferences and the DSCC Member (State Delegate) list will become available in mid-December 2017. Please see below on how to request such list(s).
  • Details of the CDP Pre-Endorsing Conferences (to consider the endorsement recommendations of U.S. House, State Senate, and State Assembly election contests) will be posted on this page as soon as possible. 
  • In order to make the endorsement registration process easier, online registration forms are now available. Please see below for both the online Endorsement Registration Forms and the downloadable Endorsement Registration Forms.

Legislative Candidates

(U.S. House, State Senate, and State Assembly)

Endorsement Consideration Filing Deadline: Prior to Pre-Endorsing Conference: Friday, January 19, 2018, 5 PM. Candidates who file by this deadline will receive the Pre-Endorsing Conference eligible voter list for the relevant district. After this deadline, a candidate may file on-site at the appropriate Pre-Endorsing Conference prior to the consideration of the relevant district at which the district is considered. On-site filing will require using a physical copy of the CDP 2018 Legislative Candidate Endorsement Registration Form.

Requests for Endorsement Process Eligible Voter Lists

  • 2018 Pre-Endorsing Conference Eligible Voter Lists - The list for the relevant district will be sent to the candidates who register and file for endorsement consideration by the registration deadline of Friday, January 19, 2018, 5 PM. Note that after this deadline, a candidate wishing to seek endorsement consideration may bring the registration form and filing fee to the Pre-Endorsing Conference of the relevant district, but will not receive an eligible voter list.
  • 2018 DSCC Membership (State Delegate) List - Please email to request the 2018 DSCC List Order Form. Please complete the form and return it to The list processing time is 48 hours after the DSCC List Order Form is completed and received.
  • Please note that the lists do not include email addresses.
  • Both the 2018 California Democratic Party (CDP) Pre-Endorsing Conference Eligible Voter List and the 2018 DSCC Membership List are as of November 30, 2017, the deadline to make changes to said lists, per CDP Rules. No additional changes may be made to the lists past that deadline. This lists are considered final unless corrections are necessary to mitigate possible issues (e.g., voter registration discrepancy or changes, voter contact information update) or clerical error.
