Election to Fill Vacancy of Assembly District Delegate to the DSCC - Assembly District 33

On September 20, 2019, CDP staff confirmed that there are two (2) "other than self-identified female" Assembly District Delegate vacancies in AD 33.

Pursuant to CDP Bylaws, they have both automatically resigned as Assembly District Delegates to the Democratic State Central Committee (DSCC) Members. (CDP Bylaws, Art. II, Sec. 10.a.). Currently, the two (2) positions of CDP Assembly District Delegate 33 are now vacant.

WHO CAN VOTE?
Accordingly, a public meeting of the DSCC Members (State Delegates) resident in Assembly District 33 will be called by the current Assembly District 33 Representative to the Executive Board to vote to fill the Assembly District Delegate vacancies, pursuant to CDP Bylaws.  (CDP Bylaws, Art. II, Sec. 10. b.3.). 

WHO CAN RUN?
Any registered Democrat resident in Assembly District 33 who is gender necessary to main, achieve or improve the equal division and who meets the eligibility requirements in the Memo below. 

Please Note: In keeping with CDP Policy, Gender shall mean one being either "self-identified female" or "other than self-identified female."

Eligible candidates must submit their name by Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 9:00 pm by emailing the Assembly District 33 Executive Board Representative, Stevevonna Evans Stevevonnaevans@gmail.com by Thursday, October 3, 2019, at 9:00pm if you would like to run.

The election meeting will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019. DSCC members will receive additional information with meeting by email. Information will also be posted on the CDP website calendar.

AD 33 Delegate Election Meeting Location & Time:

Date: Saturday, October 5, 2019

Time: Door Open at 11:00AM, ADEM Delegate candidate speeches begin at 11:30AM, Registration/Balloting Sign-in begins at 12:00PM - 2:00PM. There will be a mandatory 2-hour registration period for AD 33 DSCC members.

Note: The election will be concurrent with the Region 9 Pre-Endorsement Conference.

Note: Doors open at 11:00AM. Sign-in for registration for AD 33 voting delegates will begin at 12:00PM - 2:00PM. Candidate speeches will begin no earlier than 11:30AM. We must, under CDP rules, allow the AD 33 voters 2-hour to register and vote.

Registration and sign-in will be conducted at tables inside the meeting room in order to minimize confusion. The AD 33 ADD Election table will be separate from the Pre-Endorsement Registration/Ballot Sign-in.
