PARTY OFFICERS
The statewide officers of the California Democratic Party (State Chair, Vice Chairs, Secretary, and Controller) are elected to four-year terms. To view responsibilities of these officers please consult the California Democratic Party By-Laws and Rules.
STATEWIDE OFFICEHOLDER DEMOCRATS
There are eight Statewide Constitutional Officer positions in California, with six of those being held by Democrats. In addition to those eight positions, two of the four regional Board of Equalization slots are held by Democrats.
CALIFORNIA CONGRESSIONAL DEMOCRATS
The California Congressional Delegation is comprised of two Senators and 53 Representatives. Of those offices both Senate seats are held by Democrats, while 33 of the Representatives are Democrats.
STATE SENATE DEMOCRATS
The California State Senate is comprised of 40 members, with 25 Democratic members. Listed below are their names and contact information in order of senate district.
STATE ASSEMBLY DEMOCRATS
The California State Assembly is comprised of 80 members, with 48 Democratic members. Listed below are their names and contact information in order of assembly district.
REGIONAL DIRECTORS
Regional Directors of the California Democratic Party, with the Statewide Officers, constitute the State Officers of the California Democratic Party. The Regional Directors assist the statewide officers in the maintenance and development of the Party organization within their respective regions. They are responsible for developing, assisting, and coordinating the Assembly District Committees, the County Central Committees, Clubs & other Democratic organizations within their region. Regional Directors are elected to two-year terms.
COUNTY CENTRAL COMMITTEES
County Central Committees are comprised of local Democrats elected to the County Committee, as well as any partisan-level Democratic nominees or Democratic Elected Officials. The County Central Committees are in charge of the Democratic Party campaigns in their county, under the general direction of the State Democratic Party. County Committees are elected every two years. During their term, they hold fundraisers, plan election activities, and many open campaign headquarters. Several County Committees have permanent offices and staff.
PARTY STANDING COMMITTEES
The California Democratic Party has nine permanent Standing Committees. The Affirmative Action and Legislation Committees work together as the "Legislative Action and Equal Opportunity Committee."
PARTY CAUCUSES
The California Democratic Party has granted official recognition of these statewide caucuses of individual members sharing demographic and/or similar identity pertaining to their individual status for the purpose of participation in the policy decisions and the outreach programs of the Party.
