The polls have closed.  The phonebanks are now silent.  The precinct walkers have knocked on their last door.  And so, this Special Election comes to a close. 

To the thousands of dedicated organizers and volunteers up and down the state - WE THANK YOU.  To the nurses, teachers, firefighters, and countless other public employees who came out time and time again to make sure the voices of the people were being heard - WE THANK YOU.  And to all the voters, whether you voted by absentee ballot or braved the rain, wind, cold, and confusion of a new polling place - WE THANK YOU.
