This summer, California faces a budget fight over a projected $8 billion budget shortfall. The Republicans have told us that tax loopholes for oil companies and yacht owners are more important than our kids, our seniors, our veterans. They want to slash funding for our schools, home health care for seniors, even our state parks. We don't think that's right.
