Teri Short   Female   Our Democratic leaders are working hard to restore the economy and help America recover from the recession. They need our support! The midterm elections were a mess resulting in the lowest national voter turnout rates since 1942.! We are on the wrong road, the party has abandoned the President and his many achievements. We must find new ways to energize our voters and get ready for 2016, there's no time to waste! Over the last 8 years, I have worked hard to promote our Democratic values, educate our communities about them, and help elect Democrats. I have proudly served as a state and national delegate and on our county central committee for the last 6 years. I would like to continue to fight for the important issues facing our families joblessness, healthcare, education, and racism. I hope you'll support my re-election for the 30th AD District.

In addition, I have vigorously worked to elect city, county and state candidates that support strong democratic values. I have walked precincts, phone-banked, attended lobby days and moved many community members to action. I am concerned about the issues facing our legislature in the areas of education, health care, minimum wage, pension reform, and immigration. I would like to ensure that the Democratic Party supports our local communities and our needs as opposed to corporate interests that are creeping into local, county and state political decisions via campaign contributions. I want to ensure Californians recognize the growing disparity between the top two percent and the rest of Americans and continue to fight racism, classism, sexism and the anti-gay bias that contribute to this disparity. As a faithful democrat I want to serve our assembly district at the state convention and help lead our pa
