"As the state’s chief financial officer, I want to guide California on its road to prosperity and protect its huge assets – both financial and natural. I will work hard to honor the trust of Californians who voted for a historic public works bond package to reduce traffic, improve schools, and preserve our valuable natural resources. I will strive to ensure tax policies are fair and that we help identify credits and refunds owed to working families. As a member of the State Lands Commission and the CalPERS and CalSTRS boards, I will support investing in green energy alternatives to protect our beaches, forests and mountains.
