California Democrats lost a fighter and a friend with the passing of Carmen Warschaw in Los Angeles last week.
Carmen was a long-time Democratic National Committee member and was also the first woman to chair California's Fair Employment Practices Commission. She was committed to the practice of politics and it's practical day-to-day application.
Both Carmen and her husband Lou were involved in Los Angeles civic life as well as politics and gave generously of their time and resources to numerous institutions.
She is survived by two daughters Hope and Susan and her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Our hearts and our thoughts go out to them.
