California Democratic Party to Launch "Statewide Day of Action" to Defeat Prop 32, Pass Prop 30 & Elect Democratic Congressional Candidates to Win Back the House

Sacramento - The California Democratic Party announced a Statewide "Day of Action" across California on Saturday, October 13, to defeat Proposition 32, pass Proposition 30 and help elect Democratic Congressional candidates in several of the state's "swing" districts. As a result of once-a-decade redistricting there are more Congressional seats in play in California than there have been in at least twenty years as California could prove critical to national Democratic efforts to Win Back the House.

"From San Diego all the way up to Del Norte County, California Democrats will be out in force knocking on doors and making calls to defeat the deceptive Proposition 32, pass Proposition 30 to stop the cuts and help Democratic Congressional candidates win in swing districts," said Tenoch Flores, Communications Director for the California Democratic Party. "California is a deep blue state and with President Obama and Senator Feinstein leading the ticket we have a unique opportunity to stop the Super PACs & corporations from buying our elections, stop the cuts to education, and send President Obama a Congress that will work with him, not against him. "

Close to forty events will be taking place across California in the first of two Statewide Days of Action the California Democratic Party has planned as part of the "Battleground California" campaign this year.
