What is the Win Back the House Online Challenge?
The Win Back the House Online Challenge is an online contest to help our endorsed, non-incumbent Democratic House candidates do just that -- Win Back the House. California is a battleground state for control of the U.S. House of Representatives, and this contest will help highlight the challengers that are leading the way in California.

What are the competition's rules? How can a candidate win?
The competition will be decided by your votes! Starting Thursday August 16, you will be able to vote for the candidate YOU think is most deserving of Democratic support as we look to Win Back the House.

The candidate who has the most online votes by 5:00pm PT on Friday August 24 wins. It's that simple.

Who gets to vote?
Our goal is to find out which of our candidates has the most grassroots support online, so we hope -- and encourage -- campaigns to organize to win this event. Anyone who uses a valid email address and zip code and wants to see more California Democrats elected to Congress in order to help us Win Back the House, is eligible to vote.

We reserve the right to review the voting and invalidate votes that are fraudulent. Cheating isn't organizing, and won't help us Win Back the House.

What is the prize for the winner of the Win Back the House Challenge?
First of all, they'll win the California Democratic Party’s first ever Win Back the House Challenge. We don't have a medal or anything, but it's still prestigious. Honest.

We're also going to send an email to our activist network of California Democrats profiling the winner and encouraging activists to make an online contribution to that candidate’s campaign. The email will point recipients to the candidate’s contribute page.

When will you announce the winner?
The winner of the California Democratic Party’s Win Back The House Challenge will be announced on the week of August 27th.
